FiveM Server Hosting

A FiveM server runs on a single main thread: FXServer executes almost all script work on one core. What matters is therefore not core count but per-core performance. On an ESX or QBCore roleplay server MySQL/MariaDB also runs on the same machine, so storage latency turns directly into stutter for your players.

The amounts in the table are the monthly net price of each processor option and match the calculation in the configurator. The value option uses DDR4 memory, the performance option DDR5. Billing period (3, 6, 12, 24, 36 months) and extra resources are calculated in the configurator.

Prices exclude VAT (20%).

How to choose the hardware

Slot count drives RAM, script density drives CPU. An empty 64-slot server boots with 4 GB, but an active roleplay server means 100+ resources, MySQL, and roughly 40-60 MB per connected player. NVMe storage makes a clear difference over SATA SSD for MySQL query latency; every Datafex plan uses NVMe SSD.

Which processor family?

Most game servers run on a single thread, so per-core performance matters more than core count.

Intel i9-10920X

DDR4Value

The value option. Cascade Lake-X with DDR4 memory and 12 cores / 24 threads. Its per-resource pricing is clearly lower, which makes it the sensible pick in the 1-64 slot range and for budget focused projects. Single-core performance sits below the 7950X.

DDR5Performance

The performance option. Zen 4 with DDR5 memory and the highest single-core performance in our catalogue. Because FiveM runs its main thread on one core, this is what determines tick time at high slot counts. DDR5 bandwidth also helps on servers with heavy streamed assets.

Setup steps

  1. 1Install the server with an Ubuntu 22.04 or Debian 12 template; FiveM's official Linux artifacts are tested against these.
  2. 2Install FXServer through txAdmin and enter your keymaster licence key.
  3. 3Install MariaDB on the same machine and import the ESX/QBCore database.
  4. 4Open port 30120 TCP/UDP; extra IPs and rDNS are managed from the Datafex panel.
  5. 5Keep the server behind Fexwall; FiveM UDP floods are absorbed by L3/L4 filtering.
