What determines virtual server pricing?

The price depends on the processor family you choose, the number of vCPUs, the amount of RAM and NVMe storage, the network speed option and the billing period. Plan tables show monthly net amounts; for 3, 6, 12, 24 and 36 month terms the current total is shown in the configurator before payment.

What is the difference between VDS and VPS?

On a VDS (virtual dedicated server) the vCPU, RAM and storage listed in the plan are reserved for you. On a VPS (virtual shared server) the same resources are shared between several customers and performance can vary at peak times. Datafex never oversells its virtualisation capacity, and every plan currently on sale is a VDS.

Which resources should I look at when buying a virtual server?

Accepted Answer

Start from the number of concurrent users and the memory footprint of your application. Game servers usually need strong single core performance and more than 8 GB of RAM, while database and API workloads are driven by storage speed and RAM. The plan tables on each processor family page show vCPU, RAM and storage ranges together.

Can I install Windows on a virtual server?

Accepted Answer

Yes. During checkout you can pick one of the active Windows Server editions or Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS) listed in the product configurator. After delivery you can switch to another supported template through the reinstall flow in the customer panel.

How long does virtual server delivery take?

Accepted Answer

Provisioning starts automatically once the payment is verified. You can follow the service status in the customer panel while it runs, and see the IP address, username and password in the service detail page once it completes.

Can I upgrade the resources later?

Accepted Answer

You can request vCPU, RAM and storage upgrades within the limits the product allows. Shrinking storage is not supported in order to avoid data loss, and the price difference is shown before you approve it.

Is DDoS protection included?

Accepted Answer

Traffic passes behind the Datafex Fexwall L3/L4 filtering infrastructure, with automatic protection against spoofed source addresses. You can request a project specific security profile whenever you need one.

Where are the servers hosted?

Accepted Answer

The servers run on Datafex owned cabinets and infrastructure inside the DGN Data Center in Bursa, Türkiye. The network is backed by a redundant uplink with 100 Gbps domestic and 10 Tbps international capacity.

Can I manage the server from the panel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. From the service detail page you can start, stop and reboot the server, reinstall the operating system, follow CPU, RAM, storage and network metrics, and manage the rDNS record for eligible IPv4 addresses.
