TeamSpeak is a server-client system for voice communication that runs with low latency and low bandwidth use. On the hosting side what is sold is not processor or memory but slot count; a slot is the number of people who can be connected to the server at the same time. Datafex TeamSpeak servers run at the DGN Data Centre in Bursa, and provisioning, renewal and day-to-day management happen from the customer panel.
A server starts at 32 slots and can be raised to 1024 slots in steps of 8. The 32, 64 and 128 slot cards on this page are shortcuts to the three most frequently chosen configurations; if you need a value in between, you can set the exact number yourself in the configurator. Slot count can also be changed later, so you do not have to migrate the server as the community grows. Channel count, the channel tree layout and permission groups are independent of slot count; you arrange those from the TeamSpeak client however you like.
A slot is a concurrent connection, not a registered user — the share of a 300-person community that is in a voice channel at the same time is usually far smaller. Take your busiest moment as the measure and leave room on top for admin, bot and guest connections. 32 slots is measured for small teams, groups of friends and single-squad gaming communities. 64 slots suits communities keeping several teams or event channels on one server. 128 slots and above is preferred by large communities running regular events, tournament organisers, and setups that gather several games on one server. Because a user trying to connect to a full server gets an error, choosing one step above your peak is more practical than sitting exactly at the limit.
After the order the server is created automatically; the connection address, the server identifier and an administrator token appear on the service detail page in the customer panel. Entering that token once in the TeamSpeak client gives your account server administrator rights, after which channel creation and permission groups are handled from the client. You can start, stop and restart the server from the panel, and if you lose the token you can issue a new one from the same screen. Renewal date, invoices and service-linked support requests live on the same page.
What decides voice quality is not bandwidth but latency and packet loss; TeamSpeak spends very little traffic per user yet is sensitive to delay. Because the servers are located at the DGN Data Centre in Bursa, users in Türkiye see lower latency than they would from a location abroad. The backbone runs over a redundant uplink; transit capacity is 100 Gbps domestic and 10 Tbps international. Since voice servers are a frequent DDoS target, traffic passes through layered protection: volumetric attacks are removed at distributed nodes and on the DPDK + VPP router, packets built with spoofed source addresses are dropped by Fexwall, and this protection is part of the service.
