Choose managed hosting when a working voice server is all you need. You pick the slot count, the server opens within minutes, and keeping it updated and online is on us. The table shows the slot range and the monthly amount; in this scenario a VDS is both more expensive and more work.

Choose a VDS when a game server, a Discord bot, a web panel or several voice servers will run alongside the voice chat. At that point one VDS covers the combined cost of several services. In exchange, installation, updates and security hardening become yours.
ConfigureSlot count or RAM?
On managed hosting the unit you buy is a slot: the number of users who can connect at once. The table states the slot range and step the catalogue allows. A VDS has no such unit; the limit is however many concurrent users the machine's RAM and network can carry. Comparing the two directly as a price per slot is therefore misleading: on the VDS side, count how many services will share the machine.
Who updates it and who keeps it online
On managed hosting the server software version, restarts and the underlying infrastructure are our responsibility. On a VDS all of it is yours: installing the server software, moving between versions, bringing it back up when it falls over, and configuring the ports safely. For a community small enough for one person to look after, that load is usually unnecessary.

- How many slots can I order?
- The slot range row in the table shows the smallest and largest slot count the catalogue allows, along with the increment step. You pick the number in the configurator and the price is calculated from it.
- Is running a TeamSpeak server on a VDS free?
- You pay for the VDS and what you run on it is up to you. So there is no separate server fee, but installation, updates and uptime are yours. For a single voice server that work usually costs more than the monthly amount of managed hosting.
- Can a game server and a voice server share the same VDS?
- They can, and that is the main reason to pick the VDS side. Just size the RAM for the sum of both: if the game server saturates the machine and leaves nothing for voice, both services degrade.
